The Making of Capovilla & Williams
Capovilla & Williams was established by Attorneys Robert Capovilla and Mickey Williams who boldly stepped away from their roles in the Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps, where they dedicated years to defending Soldiers in serious criminal cases.
Co-Founder Mickey Williams stated, “We reached a critical moment when we realized we couldn’t fully dedicate ourselves to our clients while also having to salute those who were prosecuting them. Rob and I became increasingly frustrated with biased investigations, unjust prosecutions, and overwhelming bureaucracy. We set out to create a litigation firm that would fearlessly advocate for individuals in need, free from the constraints often imposed by the politics of military service.”
After years of defending individuals accused of sex crimes in federal court across the country, Rob and Mickey recognized a pressing need to assist primarily young men in college, as well as faculty and staff nationwide, in combating unjust Title IX allegations.
